The Wonders of Bucas Grande

Bucas Grande Island situated on the far eastern part of the province of Surigao del Norte. It is popularly known as the municipality of Socorro, a lone island municipality in the entire province. Bucas Grande Island lies within the breadth of the Pacific and is physically located at coordinates 9° 37′ 17″ North, 125° 58′ 0″ East. Its total land area of 12,445 hectares holds a count of more or less 20,000 inhabitants. These inhabitants have settled in 14 barangays of the municipality namely: Barangays Don Albino Taruc, Navarro, Rizal, Del Pilar, Dona Helene, Honrado, Nueva Estrella, Pamosaingan, Salog, San Roque, Sudlon, Santa Cruz, Songkoy and N. Sering.

The Grand Island Resort





The resort has 80 chalet rooms with private verandas. The breeze in the beachfront chalets is particularly refreshing. The bathrooms are well-appointed with black/white marble walls and countertops and a sophisticated shower system with multi-directional nozzles to point the streams of water at your body in varying angles.  Each chalet has white walls and is decorated in warm red and natural colored rattan headboards and furniture. All hot water are powered by solar panel.
